About me

My name is Karolina, and since 2012, I have been teaching Polish as a foreign language. Teaching brings me huge joy, and I want my students to feel the same during our lessons. My goal is to help them use Polish with confidence in their daily lives.

I once lived abroad myself, so I understand how difficult it can be to overcome the language barrier and feel comfortable in a new environment. That’s why I focus on the practical use of the language in my lessons.
My students say that my classes are effective and deliver fast results. The engaging atmosphere makes learning enjoyable and helps students momentarily forget their daily worries.

I graduated from Jagiellonian University and speak English and Ukrainian, as well as some German and Russian. I have worked with numerous companies, language schools, and foundations, offering both individual and group lessons.
From experience, I know that every person is different and needs a learning method tailored to their individual needs. That’s why I offer both individual and group lessons, allowing me to adjust the learning program to suit each student’s goals and abilities.

Group Course

 

Would you like to improve your speaking, writing, and reading skills in Polish?

Do you want to understand not only the language but also Polish culture and everyday life in Poland?

Would you like to communicate freely in Polish at work, university, or home?

Do you enjoy interacting with people, and does a group setting motivate you?

If so, choose a traditional course where you will meet me and other students face-to-face and progress together in learning Polish. Classes are held in the Kraków city centre.

Choose your level and define your learning goals:

Level A1

If you are a complete beginner and cannot form a sentence in Polish, don’t worry! After just 20 lessons, you will know how to:

  • Create simple, grammatically correct sentences and introduce yourself in Polish

  • Have a small talk and ask about someone’s interests and opinions

  • Order food in a restaurant and go shopping

  • Explain your symptoms to a doctor and understand their recommendations

  • Ask about renting an apartment

  • Avoid getting lost—communicating with taxi drivers, train conductors, or asking for directions will no longer be a problem!

  • Pronounce words like chrząszcz, żółć, and chędożyć

Lessons are conducted in Polish with English or Ukrainian support.

We meet twice a week for 90 minutes over approximately 2.5 months.

Level A2

You have already taken your first steps in learning Polish and can form simple sentences in the present tense. After 20 more lessons, you will be able to:

  • Talk about past events and future plans

  • Describe your vacation experiences

  • Ask someone how they feel and give advice

  • Share your dilemmas, problems, and ask for help

  • Write emails, post advertisements, and file complaints

  • Express your thoughts, opinions, and emotions—even argue if necessary!

Lessons are conducted in Polish with English or Ukrainian support.

We meet twice a week for 90 minutes over approximately 2.5 months.

Level B1

If you want to reach an intermediate level and finally understand not only the language but also Polish customs, this course is for you! After 25 interactive and practical lessons, you will be able to:

  • Describe people, places, and events

  • Write both formal and informal texts

  • Follow and understand social issues

  • Talk about your favorite movies, books, and museums

  • Chat freely with your boss and colleagues

  • If you’re looking for a job, you’ll learn how to write a CV and prepare for an interview

  • Express opinions on topics like culture, politics, and ecology—without preparation!

We meet twice a week for 90 minutes over approximately 3 months.

A2 level required.

Level B1 – Exam Preparation

Do you need an official document proving your B1-level Polish proficiency?

Are you worried about your upcoming certification exam?

I guarantee that you will feel more confident with my preparation course! All my students have passed the test successfully.

We will work together for 25 lessons, focusing on:

  • Grammar and vocabulary required for the B1 exam

  • Solving and discussing sample test papers

  • Simulating the oral exam—I will act as the examiner and conduct a mock interview

  • Individual consultations to address any doubts

We meet twice a week for 90 minutes over approximately 3 months.

A2 level required.

By now, the hardest part of learning Polish is behind you! Now, you want to polish your skills and feel even more comfortable speaking Polish. In 25 lessons, you will:

  • Learn colloquial expressions, slang, and idioms to understand everyday Polish conversations

  • Expand your vocabulary in engineering, economics, law, and medicine

  • Explore famous Polish literature and journalism

  • Understand Polish humor through memes and movie quotes

  • Improve your translation skills

  • Confidently pronounce chrząszcz, żółć, and chędożyć

Participants can schedule additional individual consultations.

We meet twice a week for 90 minutes over approximately 4 months.
